The claim in the image—“Drink 1 cup before breakfast for 5 days and your belly fat will melt completely”—is not supported by scientific evidence. No drink can selectively “melt” belly fat in just five days. However, a healthy, low-calorie drink can be a refreshing addition to a balanced diet.

Lemon Ginger Morning Drink

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) warm water
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger (or ½ teaspoon ground ginger)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • A pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Warm the water until it’s comfortably warm, not boiling.

Step 2: Stir in the grated ginger and let it steep for 3–5 minutes.

Step 3: Add the fresh lemon juice.

Step 4: Stir in the honey and cinnamon if desired.

Step 5: Drink it fresh, preferably before breakfast if you enjoy it that way.

What It Can and Can’t Do

This drink may:

  • Help you stay hydrated.
  • Add vitamin C from the lemon.
  • Provide the flavor and warmth of ginger, which some people find soothing for digestion.

It will not:

  • Melt belly fat.
  • Cause significant weight loss in 5 days.
  • Replace a balanced diet and regular physical activity.

For lasting fat loss, the most effective approach is maintaining a calorie deficit through healthy eating, regular exercise, adequate sleep, and consistency over time. This drink can be part of that routine, but it isn’t a shortcut to losing belly fat.
