Black seed, also known as Nigella sativa or black cumin, has been used in traditional remedies for centuries. It contains a natural compound called thymoquinone, which researchers are studying for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Important: Although the image claims black seed can cure more than 200 diseases, there is no scientific evidence supporting that claim. Black seed is not a cure for all diseases or a replacement for medical treatment.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon of food-grade black seeds (Nigella sativa)
- 1 cup of water (250 ml)
- 1 teaspoon of honey (optional)
- A few drops of fresh lemon juice (optional)
Step 1: Prepare the seeds
Place the black seeds in a small bowl. Check that they are clean and free of debris. Lightly crush them using a mortar and pestle to release their aroma.
Step 2: Heat the water
Pour one cup of water into a small saucepan. Bring it to a gentle boil, then remove it from the heat.
Step 3: Add the black seeds
Add the lightly crushed seeds to the hot water. Cover the saucepan and allow the mixture to steep for 10–15 minutes.
Step 4: Strain the mixture
