Celery Juice: A Refreshing Drink to Support a Healthy Lifestyle

Ingredients

  • 6–8 fresh celery stalks
  • ½ cucumber (optional)
  • ½ green apple (optional, for sweetness)
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • ½ cup cold water (if blending)
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Step 1 – Wash the Celery

Rinse the celery thoroughly under running water to remove dirt.

Trim off the base and any damaged leaves.

Step 2 – Chop the Ingredients

Cut the celery into smaller pieces.

If using cucumber or apple, chop them as well.

Step 3 – Blend or Juice

If Using a Blender

Add:

  • Celery
  • Cucumber
  • Apple
  • Water

Blend until smooth.

If Using a Juicer

Feed the celery and other ingredients through the juicer according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Step 4 – Strain (Optional)

For a smoother drink, strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth.

Leaving some pulp adds fibre, which is beneficial for digestion.

Step 5 – Add Lemon Juice

Stir in the fresh lemon juice.

Serve immediately over ice if desired.

When to Drink It

Many people enjoy celery juice:

  • With breakfast
  • As a mid-morning snack
  • After exercise for hydration

There is no evidence that drinking it on an empty stomach provides special health benefits.
