Crispy Air Fryer Potato Slices

1. Prepare the Potatoes

Wash the potatoes thoroughly and slice them into rounds about ¼-inch thick. Try to keep the slices as even as possible so they cook at the same rate.

You can leave the skin on for extra texture and flavor.

2. Season

Place the potato slices in a large bowl. Add the olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Toss everything together until the potatoes are evenly coated.

3. Preheat the Air Fryer

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.

Arrange the potato slices in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding the basket—cook in batches if necessary.

4. Air Fry

Cook for approximately 15–20 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through.

The exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of your slices and your air fryer. Continue cooking until the edges are golden brown and crispy and the centers are tender.

5. Add the Finishing Touch

For an extra flavorful finish, sprinkle the hot potato slices with Parmesan cheese and fresh chopped parsley.

Serve immediately while they’re warm and crispy.

Helpful Tips for Extra-Crispy Potatoes

For even better results, soak the sliced potatoes in cold water for about 15–20 minutes before cooking. Drain and dry them very thoroughly with a clean kitchen towel before adding the oil and seasonings.

Don’t pile the slices on top of each other in the air fryer. Good airflow is what helps create those beautifully crisp edges.

And if you love garlic, add a little extra garlic powder before serving!

These potatoes are simple, inexpensive, and incredibly satisfying. If this recipe looks delicious to you, leave a ❤️ or “YUM” so I know to keep sharing more!
