1. Prepare the cauliflower
Wash and thoroughly dry the cauliflower. Cut it into small, evenly sized florets.
2. Make the coating
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Gradually add the water, whisking until you have a smooth, thick batter.
3. Coat the cauliflower
Add the cauliflower florets to the batter and toss until each piece is well coated.
4. Bake until crispy
Arrange the cauliflower on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer. Lightly drizzle or spray with olive oil.
Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25–30 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crisp.
5. Make the glaze
While the cauliflower cooks, combine the honey, ketchup, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan.
Simmer over medium-low heat for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
6. Add the glaze
Remove the crispy cauliflower from the oven and transfer it to a large bowl. Pour over the warm glaze and toss gently until everything is coated.
7. Finish and serve
Return the glazed cauliflower to the oven for 5–7 minutes to help the sauce become sticky and caramelized.
Garnish with fresh parsley and sesame seeds. Serve with lemon wedges.
🔥 Quick Tip
For extra-crispy cauliflower, make sure the florets are completely dry before coating them and leave space between each piece on the baking tray.
