  2. Mash with a fork until smooth or slightly chunky.
  3. Stir in the lemon juice, salt, pepper, and optional ingredients.
  4. Serve immediately with toast, crackers, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetables.

The viral stove method may look impressive, but it doesn’t offer any real advantage over safer, more reliable ways to soften or prepare an avocado.
